Wicket of Crickets

"Cricket is a bat-and-ball team sport that originated in England and is now played in more than 100 countries. A cricket match is contested by two teams, usually of eleven players each[1] and is played on a grass field in the centre of which is a flat strip of ground 22 yards (20 m) long called a pitch. A wicket, usually made of wood, is placed at each end of the pitch and used as a target." - Wikipedia

Recently, I went to Tungku Beach for chilling with a friend. Cool Sea Breeze will relax ur mind (if u're stressed out by that time). So there were a group of Indian/Pakistani citizens gathering around by the beach talking to each other, carrying wickets(cricket bat) along with them. So.. they were actually having a cricket match amongt themselves. Yea fair enough, they're not only come to Brunei for working, but they need to relax their mind & having sports by weekend. Every one needs that. Sports is a crucial thing to do in life. We should balance our lifestyle with outdoor activities or having sports once in a week.

So luckily I brought along with my camera and come out having lotsa action pictures of them playing cricket. Cricket, so far as I know, is one challenging game. Not far from baseball or softball, similar, but takes alot of time. Somehow, 1 game can ends for few days.

Below are some pictures that I took on that day. [Mode: Sports (auto), Camera: 400D DSLR Canon, Lens: 75-300mm USM II f:4-5.6].

Thermal Collision

Hey Guys,

I feel like Im kinda bored, so just wanna post on something different now. It's not like a Journal but its about me & my band. Please support our local music industry & artists. Nevertheless we have found alot of new bands and singers are widning their mind to be one of it :) it shows a very good progress. We will try to keep this thing much more developing from time to time.

Thermal Collision is the name of my band (previously called "Sane Asylum"). Our genre is mostly all types of rock (i.e: blues rock, jazz rock, alternative rock, metal rock and alot of batu's) hehehe. I've joined this band by early September 2007 as they were actually looking for a guitarist. Where Keem (Bassist) found me and test my guitar playing. So I got hired. Previously Ash (2nd guitarist) played as a Drummer. but now we have a new girl drummer (age 16) named Nurul or we call her Nunu...hohoho.. Currently we have Yean (Vocals), Zul (1st Guitar), Ash (2nd Guitar/Keyboard), Keem (Bass) and Nunu (Drum). We also have featuring of a guitar player name Fizzul where he composed a jazzy song of our own named "Kerna" (lyrics by Yean).

We have made several songs of our own, where our 1st singles called "Gone" is the most favoured ones. We've been playing for some shows and gigs/party lately (ICC, Rizqun, Private functions and parties, and 1 battle of the band (place 4th). Soon on 26th November in Hua Ho Mall Manggis. Anyhow, I am currently make some demos for everyone to hear. But will post it later. So please wait :)

Below are few of our group band pictures and will be used as our 1st Album cover.

L-to-R: Zul, Fizzul, Yean, Nunu. Keem. Ash

And the toilet is VIEW-able. Remind me of the Hotel in Rijswik, Holland. No worries, it includes with blinding.

This is the Centre Atrium of the Hyper Mall, 1 Borneo.
1Borneo is located 15minutes away from the Capital, Consists of a large block of building, 5Hotels, 2 still building (at the north side), and Tune shop (owned by Air Asia). According to the plan, they even have Hovercraft docks O___o!! Shops are mostly branded (i.e: Levi's, Bodyshop; F.O.S, Adidas, etc...) and on the ground floor consist of a wide range of restaurants which includes K.F.C, McD, Sushi King (nyum2), Japanese restaurant, Penang restaurant, Starbucks (nice!!)... and on the top level they have Cinemas (8 cinemas!!) Borneo Rainforest, massage places, and don't forget..the Arcade!
You will spend the whole 1 day to shop in this Hyper mall. To shop it is relatively cheap and can get variety of sizes i.e big shoes and big clothes and T's.. e.g 4XL or 5XL...ahaha. Places open by 10am till 11pm..I guess.... kinda like it. There's one Cigar shop called Trinidad which supplies Havana Cigars... Cool to look at it...but its gonna spend you deep-deep..

PSK Karate in Mumong Sports Complex

Lately, there was a sport events held in whole Brunei called Pesta Sukan Kebangsaan (National Sports Festival) or PSK. I went to one of the event, a very famous martial arts known in Brunei which is called KARATE!. It held just the same where my Kendo Dojo is.. the Mumong Sports Complex, Mumong(obviously).

I took alot of pictures, mostly on the action, karate kata, kumite and faces of pepol around. With my so-so Canon 400D and 75-300mm lens, i could take some good shots of the partitioners in action. Good only...not the best..I still need to buy a very good camera ehehe.and probably the blurry effect of fast motion is because I need slow shutter but more aperture. due to so Gelap in the hall...using flash is useless.
Anyway.. enjoy to see some of the pictures below..leave some comments if you like ^_^.

3rd & the Final day of Kendo Workshop

Hi everyone,

Sorry if you all wait for so long. ITs actually tired to insert too many pictures to the blog kali ah. Anyway, the 3rd day and the fnal day of the June Inter-School Kendo Workshop was held at the Scouts Buildig Sports Hall. A very big space & very nice place to practice. It's airconditioned & very comfortable. But its costs high. Neverthelss its worth it :)

a very large turnout on the day, maybe because its Sunday & everyone are free? I duno..but the more they come, the merrier it'll be. Junbi taisho was lead by Senpai Combatto-kun... start with a warm up, then basi cuts and as usual the Haya Suburi at the end.

Then after they again got divided into groups. I was so malas that time, so I only go for photographs. Be the media man... wat I remembered was, they do advanced waza, kata & kirikaeshi. lot of pepol have diff style. later that tym, we all have a break for lunch.. much more better food this time. for some other pepol, they went out for food, such as eating at the millenium or some restoran downstairs. but I'm jaded...n fall asleep after.

In the afternoon, continue up wif waza n last but not least the final war...and now with the Seniors!!... well, we all got beaten up. Out numbered!! XD we're not rambo or the last samurai... ahaha. anyways when it came to the end, everyone seiza and mokusou. and also giving some experience talk given by the captain of eah schools & clubs. and the Group photography!!...
Well thats the end of the Workshop, hope it will held again same time, same place and same activity next year in June!! XD...gambarre yawwww...
